The Story Behind Philippe Pacalet
The story of Philippe Pacalet is one of tradition, passion, and innovation. As the nephew of the legendary winemaker Marcel Lapierre, Philippe was inspired by his family's deep connection to the world of wine. Over the years, Philippe Pacalet has built an impressive resume, working not only for 10 years at Domaine Prieure Roch but also at the mythical Domaine Leroy and the equally legendary Château Rayas in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône.
In 1999, the time had come to make wine under his own name, and Philippe started his own vineyard with a vision to produce wines that expressed the authenticity and terroir of Burgundy in the purest and most authentic way.
Philippe Pacalet is a pioneer in natural wine production. He has embraced biodynamic methods and avoids the use of chemicals. Each vine is cultivated with respect for nature, focusing on letting the unique character of the terroir shine through in every grape.
