Barolo Aldo Conterno Bussia Vigna Cicala 1976
/ #43958107The Barolo Bussia “Cicala” from Poderi Aldo Conterno is a great expression of Barolo, a classic, ancient and traditional interpretation. It was born in the legendary Cicala vineyard of the Bussia cru and is produced in complete compliance with the most ancient oenological practices of the Langhe: long maceration on the skins to obtain maximum extraction and long aging only in large barrels.
It is obviously produced from the Nebbiolo vine in the Michet and Lampia varieties. The Vigna Cicala in Bussia is located in Monforte d'Alba and the vinification takes place with maceration of the skins in stainless steel tanks.
The fermentation times of the must where it remains in contact with the skins for 30 days, during which the alcoholic fermentation completely takes place and the temperature is variable with maximum peaks of 32 degrees centigrade in which the refinement in the cellar of the new wine is decanted several times before to be placed in oak barrels where it ages and refines.
The very deep garnet red color with a compact and very intense aroma, with hints of berries, violets, dried flowers and liquorice with an energetic, powerful, robust and structured taste, of great impact and very long persistence
