Bernard Moreau Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie 2017

Bernard Moreau is an established player in Chassagne-Montrachet, and has been driven with a heavy hand by Benoit Moreau, who from the 2020 vintage has gone his own way with a new (irrevocable) Domaine. The grapes come from three parcels on the field, which are approx. 50 years old, and gives a very mineral profile. This plays well with Moreau's style, which strikes the balance between concentration, maturity and freshness perfectly. 2017 is still on the young side, but drinks well with some air.
The bottle has been stored in a wine fridge at 12 degrees since it was purchased on release.
