Chateau d'Yquem 2004 in perfect condition in every respect

In the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855, Château d'Yquem was the only Sauternes to have this qualification. Precisely for this reason its superiority is also perceived by its high prices compared to all other wines of this type (a bottle can even exceed €5000). The wines of Château d'Yquem are characterized by their complexity, content and sweetness. A relatively high acidity helps balance the sweetness. Another characteristic for which Château d'Yquem wine is known is its longevity. In fact, a bottle begins to show its qualities only after a year or two of aging in the cellar, and with care, it is preserved for a century or more, progressively adding fruity nuances. In terms of price positioning, a bottle can range from a few hundred euros for the "younger" ones to several tens of thousands of euros for the more "mature" ones.
