Guide: How to Take Good Photos
When selling wine on ShareWine, it is important to take quality photos for your listing in order to give buyers a clear and accurate picture of the product.
Additionally, we often see that clear, high-quality photos have a positive effect on engaging more bidders and ultimately achieving a higher sale price.
If the photos are inadequate and of poor quality, you risk having your listing closed by ShareWine's administration.
Tip 1: Show the Entire Bottle
It is important for the buyer to see the entire bottle to get a good overall impression. This way, the buyer can easily see the producer, region, vintage, condition, etc. It is essential that the top part of the bottle is clearly visible so that the buyer can assess the condition of the wine.
Tip 2: Remember Good Lighting
It is important to have good lighting when taking a photo of your wine. The light should hit the bottle from the front, not from behind. Also, the lighting should be high, not low. This way, potential buyers will be able to see your wine clearly and get a good impression.
Tip 3: Show the Label Up Close
It is a good idea to also take a close-up photo of the label so the buyer can see all the details of the bottle's contents and assess the condition of the label.
Tip 4: Show the Back Label
If there is a label on the back of the bottle, it is also a good idea to take a clear photo of this so buyers can see any additional desired information.
Tip 5: Avoid Other Bottles in the Background
To avoid confusing buyers about what is being sold, make sure you take photos without other bottles appearing in the background of the image.
Make sure that only the wine or wines you want to sell are the focus of the photo you upload.
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in your listing being closed by ShareWine if the administrator deems that the content of the photos does not match the listed wine, to avoid any confusion about which wine is for sale.
